CARETAKER

Commencing Grade E Scale Point 7 £18,497 per annum (Full Time Equivalent £19,554)
35 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 52 weeks per annum

 

The successful candidate is required to work 7am - 1pm with a requirement to return to school to ensure the site is locked up by 6pm. During term time, the post holder will need to return to school again on a Tuesday evening to lock up after a group - it is anticipated that this will be around 8.30pm - this is only required for 36 weeks a year.

 

Roselands Primary School is part of the Riviera Education Trust which is a multi-academy trust consisting of three local primary schools: Roselands Primary School, Shiphay Learning Academy and Oldway Primary School. We all work in collaboration in order to benefit all of the children in the Trust. Working in partnership with other schools helps to strengthen our provision and provide educational excellence so that every pupil has the best possible learning experience and is prepared for future life.

 

Roselands Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and resourceful full time caretaker with good basic DIY skills for the effective operation of site services such as cleaning, porterage, grounds maintenance, minor repairs and maintenance.

 

Duties will include premises management, security of the buildings and site, ensuring inside and outside environments are well maintained and meet Health and Safety requirements.This is a permanent post and the successful candidate will need to make sure the site is maintained to a high standard at all times. An electrical or plumbing qualification would be an advantage but is not a requirement. 

 

The successful candidate will be part of the school team, must relate well with both pupils and adults and be able to work across all sites within the Trust when needed. In addition to being capable for this post, candidates will need to demonstrate their suitability for working with children. 

 

This role will report to our Operations Manager and also to the Head of School for Roselands Primary School.

CARETAKER

The successful candidate is required to work Monday - Friday 07:00 - 12:00 then returning at 15:30 - 18:30 (18:00 on a Friday). Total hours of this role are 37 a week. 

The commencing salary will be £19,554 which is Grade E, Scale point 7 and based on 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), for 52 weeks per year. (Full Time Equivalent £19,554).
