After exploring the impact of group art, 6G decided to have a go at creating an art installation themselves. Taking inspiration from a variety of famous artists, they chose two of their favourite to replicate. Using which ever media best-suited the art work; they explored different techniques in their sketch books. Once they had perfected their skills and felt that they were ready to proceed on to the creation of their very own masterpiece, they began to create a double-sided canvas which could be used for the propellers of a windmill.
These were then laminated and secured so that they created the foils of the windmill.
After attaching them to a cane, we created a display on a bank in the playground. I’m sure you will agree that they make quite an impact.
