For our 'Healthy heroes' event, the children decided they wanted to cook some healthy snacks that were easy and quick to make. One group researched and came up with the idea of simple mini fritattas . They looked at different recipes and came up with four that they wanted the class to make. Each group was responsible for making a batch and all the children sampled them, voting on their two favourites that would be made for our families at the event the following week. The winning combinations were: Ham and Mushroom and rainbow Fritattas with red onion, pepper, peas and spring onions. The children made recipe cards to give to parents and lots of the children have encouraged their families to cook them again at home.
