Home Learning 20/21

Roselands Approach to Home Learning

At Roselands, we have developed a tiered approach to provide learning opportunities for any missed in-school learning time, due to the current COVID pandemic and the precautions that we are being advised to take, in order to minimise the risk of spreading the virus.

  1. If your child has developed symptoms of COVID it is important that you do not bring them to school and that you arrange for your child to be tested ASAP.  Whilst you are awaiting the test result, if your child is well enough, they should access the learning activities that are provided below.

  2. If you are told to self isolate or you receive a positive test result, please inform the school ASAP.  If your child is well enough to complete some school work, please use the links below to set your child a programme of learning.  It will be essential for them to have an English, reading and maths lesson each day, following the sequence of lessons recommended below.  You can then choose the non-foundation subjects (computing, science, PSHE, history etc) sessions that your child shows the most interest in.

  3. In the event of a school bubble, regional or national lockdown all teachers will deliver new learning through an online platform (Google classroom for year 2 - 6 and the ILD for EYFS and Year 1 pupils)
