As part of our literacy lessons we have been learning about the Roman legend of Romulus and Remus. After using a text map to learn, orally re tell and write the story we worked in our cooperative teams to role play a particular part of the legend.
We have also been learning about the Romans and the impact they had on Britain through our Roman play. All the children enjoyed preparing for the play immensely, learning the songs and lines, making props and getting to work with the other Year 3/4 classes. They did an amazing job performing their play twice, first to the school and then to parents and families. Here a the children dressed in their costumes and a few photos from the play rehearsals.
