Having reached our deadline, it was time to test our buggies. We were all feeling very tense. Would they travel the expected 3 meters? Would the mars bar and the lego men stay safely aboard? Would the circuit work at the crucial moment?
The answers were mainly YES!!...All six buggies had impressive circuits and a stable structure with moving axels and a sturdy chassis...and all men and luggage was transported safely. However, not all of our buggies travelled the whole 3 meters – but we weren’t disappointed as we now know the perfect formula for making a space buggy, perhaps the 2020 NASA moon buggy engineering crew would like some advice?! As Ryan said ‘Imagine how long it’s going to take to make the real moon buggy – this has taken a lot of brain power from us over 3 whole days!!
