The Great Fire of London

KS1 thoroughly enjoyed taking part in their history day learning about The Great Fire of London that happened in 1666. They built houses that replicated the ones that caught fire, sequenced pictures to tell the story of The Great Fire, took part in a quiz, drew observational drawings of St Paul's Cathedral, used a quill to write secret messages using the Shelton code and tasted cheeses that Samuel Pepys might have buried in his garden to save them from burning. A fantastic time was had by all.
