We ensure there are many opportunities for children to partake in sporting events and competitions – in school and out.  These are organised by Mrs Waring.

Roselands is part of the Paignton Sports Partnership, which gives opportunities for children of all year groups to partake in competitions.  These are often at Paignton Academy, which gives children of all abilities the chance to take part in different competitions.  Each half-term, there is an intra-house competition in a different sport which allows all children to take part to win points for their house.  In the summer term, we hold a traditional sports day when children participate in their houses to win the sports day cup.

Roselands also participate in other competitions which are organised outside of school.  These include Riviera Education Trust competitions between Oldway, Shiphay and ourselves – examples have recently included cross-country and football.

The school also enters local and national competitions in sports such as football, netball and cricket.

During the summer term, we hold our annual sports day.  Children compete in different sports and at the end a house champion is announced!
