Luscombe Cup

The Year 5/6 girls competed in the Luscombe cup on Thursday morning 12th June, and went through their group stage coming second. However with heat telling on them they went out at the quarter final stage as Caitlin, the top scorer for Roselands, could not save the day again after scoring some earlier superb goals.
The year 5/6 boys competed in the afternoon, they won their group stage beating Oldway Primary School to first place. They then went on an unbeaten run to the semi finals where they played with amazing passion,  peppering the opposition goal for the majority of the game. Unfortunately it came down to a nerve wracking penalty shoot out which they lost. However along with Collaton Saint Mary, the current Torbay champions, they were unbeaten in open play and were a credit to Roselands.
After this all bodes well for next season with some superb plaers due to make their mark on the school football team.
