Wow! What a week at Roselands during our science week. This year our theme for Science week was Exploration and Discovery. Throughout the school there has been a real buzz of excitement about everything that has been going on in and out of their classes related to Science. The children have been scientists, explorers, engineers and much much more. We were lucky enough to have a visit from two STEM ambassadors who were incredibly impressed by the children's knowledge, collaborative skills but most importantly their questioning skills.
Key Stage Two children were amazed by our visitor Liz Lyons who gave them a fantastic insight to the working of the heart. While Key Stage One enjoyed getting up-close and personal with mini beasts and how important compost is for growing plants with their visit from the Recycle Devon educational team. Bones and x rays were fascinating for our EYFS classes when Mr Paddon visited their classes this week also. We were very honoured that so many excellent visitors could share their knowledge and expertise during our Science week.
Here are a few photos that show just a small section of the exciting experiences that have been going on across the school. For more photos, check out the class pages.
