Special Mental Health & Wellbeing Coronavirus Resources:

This pandemic is changing children's lives across the globe and will have a lasting impact on us all. Helping children to understand what is going on is an important step in helping them cope and making them part of a story - this is something that we are all going through, not something being done to them. Below are some resources that can support a child's understanding of the virus.

At Roselands we have an Inclusion Team consisting of an Inclusion Leader and Designated Safeguarding Lead, an experienced SENCO, two expert Pastoral Assistants and a very knowledgeable Family Support Worker. This team can be accessed by pupils and their families that are facing difficulties. Please contact roselandsadmin@rivieraet.co.uk and request contact from Pippa Bastock, Inclusion Leader.

An e.book explaining Coronavirus and the changes needed coming back to school:

An e.book called  ‘My Back to School Bubble’ has been produced it aims to help children understand the new protective measures that may be in place at their school, in an age-appropriate way. It reinforce public health messages including the importance of hand and respiratory hygiene, while reassuring children that everyone makes mistakes, helping to combat feelings of anxiety, that have been reported by parents.
