Time Out Cafe

Our year 3 and 4 children helped out at the Roselands Time Out community hub on Sturcombe Avenue for their Coronation party.

Prior to the event, EYFS helped to make flower gifts and these were placed on the tables for the guests to take before they went home. The children did an amazing job at decorating the cafe with artwork and decorations made by other pupils.

At the event, the children were tasked with taking orders, serving and having conversations with different members of the community. They met a lady who had been to a tea party for the Queen's coronation when she was a similar age. At the end they were awarded a certificate by the organisers for doing an excellent job.

'I am sure the team at Time Out thanked you and the children on Wednesday.  I would like to add my thanks and appreciation for all involved, the beautiful art and craft work from your budding artists, the young gardeners who supplied the gifts of plants, and the group of helpers who decorated and efficiently took orders and served, and chatted whilst being very attentive.
They did the school and more importantly themselves proud. I am sure they will all grow into confident young people, who will reach their full potential, finding their place in society.  Thank you to everyone for helping to make the afternoon a great success.'
